Shooting 1000 FPS for Mammut Swiss

Shooting 1000 fps brings a lot of challenges to the table, mainly the amount of light needed. The reason I include this is because not everyone can do the calculations of the sheer amount of light needed as well as access to such a camera.

Another challenge was the 80 kg weight that was in freefall for about 2 meters and swung around. Keeping people and gear in a safe distance was vital.

My role on this project was Camera Operator and Lighting for the super slow-mo shots which are merely a part of this educational/marketing video.

This video was produced by Ben from Hard Is Easy in collaboration with Mammut Swiss.
